What your WhatsApp Business Platform messages will cost each month, in dirhams or dollars, from Meta's own rate card. Since 1 October 2026 replies to customers are charged after the first 1,000 a month, so the number of messages your team or your AI agent sends per conversation is now a cost line.
Meta's rates effective 1 October 2026, checked against Meta's pricing page on 19 October 2026. Meta's charge only; a provider may add its own fee.

On Meta's rate card effective 1 October 2026, a message to a UAE number (+971) costs AED 0.0576 (USD 0.0157) for service replies, utility and authentication templates, and AED 0.2115 (USD 0.0576) for marketing templates. Meta charges per delivered message, by the category of the message and the country code of the recipient.
Not any more. From 1 October 2026 Meta charges for service messages, the free-form replies sent inside the 24-hour customer service window, after a free tier of 1,000 per business phone number per month. Replies to customers who arrived from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad remain free inside Meta's free entry point window, which can last up to 7 days.
No. Meta charges only for messages a business delivers to a user, never for messages a user sends to a business.
It is Meta's charge. A Business Solution Provider may add its own platform fee or markup on top, and a business connected to the Cloud API directly pays Meta's rate alone. Ask your provider for both figures separately.
Send fewer messages per conversation: answer in one message rather than an acknowledgement, a holding reply and the answer; drop the closing 'anything else?'; look the answer up in your systems instead of asking three questions in three messages; and do not reply to a thank-you. For an AI agent this is a design decision, and since October it shows on the invoice.
